Unlike Soundsuit, Spotify and other mainstream consumer music services (Apple Music, YouTube, Pandora, Deezer) are not legal for commercial use. It is clearly stated in Spotify's Terms and Conditions and in Spotify's own FAQ. Playing Spotify in a public or commercial setting exposes your business to legal risk.

In the US, the relevant copyright fees (reproduction fees + performance fees) are included in your Soundsuit subscription. You do not need to pay additional fees on top (e.g. BMI, ASCAP, SESAC, GMR). In the rest of the world, you do need to get a music license (performance fees) from your local Copyright Collecting Society, such as PRS-PPL (UK), GEMA (DE), SACEM (FR), APRA AMCOS (AU). Soundsuit covers the reproduction fees in this case.

Yes. The Soundsuit app lets you build your own playlists, song by song, just as you would on a consumer platform. As a music service built for professionals, Soundsuit makes it even easier to build great playlists — songs verified by Soundsuit music experts are highlighted with a blue badge, confirming they are validated as great tracks for a business environment.

Yes. Soundsuit can be considered a business expense. Using consumer platforms like Spotify in a business setting is illegal and should not be considered a business expense.

Yes. When you subscribe to Soundsuit, you receive a confirmation email with the invoice attached. As a music service for professionals, Soundsuit delivers business-compatible invoices with all necessary information to comply with international accounting standards.

No. Soundsuit's trial is absolutely free of charge and without any binding or obligation to purchase. To start your free trial, no credit or debit card is required — you do not need to share any banking details. The transition from trial to subscription is not automatic.

If your business is in the US: the Soundsuit fee includes the relevant licenses to legally play music in your location. You do not need to pay additional copyright fees (e.g. BMI, ASCAP, SESAC, GMR). If your business is in the rest of the world: you will need an additional music license from your local Performing Rights Organisation (e.g. PRS-PPL in the UK, GEMA in Germany, SACEM in France).

Yes. You can cancel your Soundsuit subscription at any time in your Soundsuit App. Without cancellation, at the end of a term (e.g. one month or one year), the subscription will automatically be renewed for another term.

For a monthly subscription, the notice period is 14 days before the end of the subscription. For a yearly subscription, the notice period is 3 months before the end of the subscription.

You can pay yearly or monthly using: Visa / Mastercard / American Express (card payments), Apple Pay (for Apple devices), ACH Bank Debit (United States), SEPA Direct Debit (Europe), Bacs Direct Debit (United Kingdom), iDEAL (Netherlands), and bank transfer (invoice-based, for enterprise and public sector).

Yes. As a certified premium partner of Sonos, Soundsuit is fully compatible with all Sonos devices. You can set which music plays in which zone, adjust volume, switch between stations and schedules — all from the Sonos app, with automatic on/off scheduling for your speakers.

Yes — and this is one of Soundsuit's most unique advantages. With other services, scheduling music on Sonos requires you to manually create alarms in the Sonos app for every time slot, every zone, every day. With Soundsuit, you build your weekly music calendar once (morning jazz, lunch pop, evening chill, etc.), connect Soundsuit to your Sonos system in 2 clicks, and press Play once. Soundsuit handles every transition automatically — no alarm setup, no manual overrides, no touching the Sonos app again. Update your schedule anytime in Soundsuit, and Sonos follows instantly.

Yes. As a certified premium partner of Loxone, Soundsuit is seamlessly integrated into the Loxone system and fully compatible with all Loxone speakers. Control music by zone, schedule playback, adjust volume, and assign employee access — alongside lighting, heating, security, and more.

Yes. Soundsuit can be easily added as a music provider on any AV system. We already work with customers using Q-Sys, Audac, Crestron, and similar AV systems. Contact us to plan a technical call.

Yes. We offer tailored pricing for kindergartens, schools, and daycare centers. Instead of paying per music zone, you purchase individual licenses — each allowing one teacher or class to stream music independently. We also offer volume discounts based on the number of licenses needed. Contact us for details.
